The shot featuring Roy Andersson in a miniature model of his studio was captured on camera using a perspective trick that positioned him farther back behind the model.
The before-and-after comparison reveals that the on-camera visual effects had an unnatural quality, appearing as if they were composited.
We extended the camera movement slightly to create a gentle stop. When the lights came on and he entered the room, a focus shift caused the outside wall to blur, which we fixed by merging footage from a different take.
